About the Program

UNLV’s Supplier Diversity Program is focused on ways to identify opportunities to encourage a more diverse supplier base to participate in the University’s purchasing process. Through external outreach - such as business and supplier fairs - and campus wide education, the Purchasing Department is striving to be more inclusive throughout the procurement process.

Our Supplier Diversity program will support the efforts of small, minority, veteran, and women owned businesses to be involved in the purchasing process. By creating strong business relationships with these groups, and ensuring they receive a fair and equal opportunity to provide goods and services to the University, a foundation for their continued economic growth and long term viability can be established. A good faith effort by the University will always be made in this endeavor.

This program is committed to becoming a link between the diverse business community that services UNLV and the campus community whose purchasing requirements are channeled through the Purchasing Department. As we expand our supplier base, the expectation of value and quality in all the items and services the University purchases remains unchanged. We are continually searching for suppliers that can offer competitive and best-in-class product lines that meet the needs of the University during this time of growth.
